Burnham Park

Burnham Park is a public park located in Chicago, Illinois. The Park is an outgrowth of the 1909 Plan for Chicago which was a series of projects like widened street parks, new railroad, harbor facilities, and buildings. Although only portions of the plan were successfully made into reality the document reshaped Chicago’s metropolitan area and gave an important influence to the new era of city planning.

Burnham Park sits prominently on the Lakefront of Chicago Illinois. Named after the famous architect and also the principal designer of the park and many of the city’s architectural designs. Burnham Park has been in service to the public for many recreational activities. The Park is best for miles of walking, run or biking along Lake Michigan, Burnham Park provides a skate park and several beaches to check out.

Burnham Park has unlimited facilities that the public can have access to which includes Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium, and Field Museum. The Park also consists of two harbors for fishing and leisure activities.

It also has a very large forest structure. The entire park is large with independent lake and forest coverage. It has been labeled as the city’s suitable place for leisure and recreation. McCormick Place

 

Besides the park itself, you can also try visiting McCormick Place which is a large convention center perfect for all ages. It opens daily from 8:30 am up until 5:00 pm.

Adler Planetarium connects people to the wide vast universe. Whether directly being introduced to Ring Nebula, the Adler’s Museum focuses on the meaningful connection that dates back centuries before. It already hosted more than a half-million visitors each year.

Located between the Metra train tracks on the west and Lake Shore Drive. The Burnham Nature Sanctuary is home to great forestry and nature wonders. You may come across native butterfly gardens, woodland and grassland, and tree canopy.
